Jeff Fearnow was the owner of Elkhart Elite Gymnastics and Cheerleading from 1993-2006. He sold his business to Pam Slagle and Susie Eakle, who renamed the business Indiana Ultimate. Jeff continues to do what he loves..teach tumbling! Jeff offers tumbling classes, private lessons to all ages and skill levels.

Jeff has taught tumbling for over 30 years. He is currently teaching Indiana Ultimate's advance team tumbling. In the advanced team practices, team members are working full twists, toe touch front tucks, and Arabians.

Jeff has also taught boys and girls gymnastics. One of his former students was Jason Gatson, US Olympian gymnasts medalist in the 2004 Summer Olympics.  Here is a picture of Jeff with Jason Gatson receiving his first all-around gymnastics trophy at the age of 7.

Jeff was the Bethel College Varsity Co-ed Cheer coach for 5 years. He loves coaching Co-ed cheerleading! His Gym's All-star Co-ed cheer team won the American Challenge Level 6 Collegiate division in 2003! Several of Jeff's former students have gone on to cheer at Norte Dame, IU, Purdue, Butler, Anderson, Tennessee, Miami of Ohio, and Georgia State. Many of Jeff's former students are now High school and College cheer coaches!!

Jeff teaches tumbling to many of the area high school cheerleaders. Jeff's philosophy is..."ordinary people can do extraordinary things, when given the proper instruction and moral support." Jeff strives to teach his students to believe in themselves and to push through their FEARS!!

Jeff loves working with students at the beginning level. He enjoys seeing his students get excited when they learn their first cartwheel and backhand spring!. Jeff classes are limited to 8 students, and are 45 minutes in length, They are $60.00 for an 8 week session. In the beginning class, students work on cartwheels, round offs, back bends, and yes even backhand springs! His intermediate classes work on backhand spring series, and round off back handsprings tucks. His advance clas work on full twists, and standing tucks.

Too shy for a class? Jeff also offers private lessons for students that are more comfortable with one-pn-pne instruction. Private lessons are $34.00 for a half hour. (Many people share a private lesson with a friend, and split the costs: $17.00 a half an hour).

I have been involved with coaching & teaching gymnastics for over 20 years. A competitive high school gymnast at Elkhart Memorial High School was where I fell in love with the sport. Always having had a strong desire for competition I started coaching gymnastics along with becoming a judge for both mens & womens gymnastics.
Fascinated with the tumbling aspect of the sport I switched to teaching tumbling for All Star Cheerleading in 2003. Working with students from 3 years of age to college cheerleaders has been very rewarding. Teaching each student to realize their own potential and reaching it by a committed effort is one of my goals.
